Our Story

GM Estate Agents was initially established as an internal department of GM Homes in order to bring the agency service needs of its clients in house. GM Homes Australasia is a boutique building and finance services company with its head office based on the Gold Coast. Since its inception in 2005, over 2200 families have chosen GM Homes to build or satisfy their investment requirements to create long term financial security. That’s a lot of properties and a lot of happy clients!

GM Estate Agents still benefits from the support and resources of the GM Group and it’s through this infrastructure that it can seamlessly deliver services to the greater South East Queensland region.

GM Homes and GM Estate Agents are proudly family owned and operated by father and son Glen Miller and Michael Elder-Mitchell. Both Glen and Michael come from a long real estate pedigree, Glen’s family founded Royal Mirage Realty in Main Beach on the Gold Coast in the early 1990’s.

We believe it’s because the synergy of services offered through GM Estate Agents and GM Homes that we outperform our competitors. We understand every aspect of the property and investment industries providing dedicated, high performing property management and sales departments, finance and investment specialists and in house conveyancing. Glen Miller

Glen has been in the finance industry for over 20 years. WIth diplomas in financial planning, finance and mortgage broking management and training and assessment, Glen has great insight into the industry.

Glen began his career as a Marketing Manager at his family’s company, Royal Mirage Realty. From 2000 to 2010 he spent the bulk of his career working as an independent lending specialist, securing specialised finance solutions to suit his clients needs. This understanding of the finance industry has been key in Glen’s success in running GM Homes, as without finance, the vast majority of property transactions would not complete.

Michael Elder-Mitchell

Principal Director GM Estate Agents / Senior Property Manager

Michael’s passion for property started to develop at the age of 7 or 8 when he would get up on Saturday and read the property section of the newspaper with his grandparents and detail his renovation ideas for properties that took his fancy. Fast forward 25 years and Michael is still as obsessed now as he was then.

After graduating from a property development and real estate degree, Michael quickly found himself working for one of Brisbane’s largest agencies as a residential property manager. Within 12 months, Michael was managing a portfolio of over 160 properties, including 2 retail shops, with an approximate market value of over $60 million. Michael was fortunate enough to be comprehensively trained by the best of the best, fell in love with property management and decided to make a career of it.

After satisfying his thirst for residential agency knowledge, Michael decided to move into the commercial property sector. He spent 3 years working for a boutique commercial/retail agency on the Gold Coast managing key tenants like Commonwealth Bank Australia, Coles Supermarkets and Gold Coast Airport Limited, to name a few. Michael’s highlight was being appointed the Senior Centre Manager for Airport Central at Gold Coast Airport.

Fortunately, at the end of 2013, Michael was approached by GM Homes Australasia to found GM Estate Agents and to take over the agency work of their clients. Since 2014, Michael has successfully led the team and secured over $100 million in managed assets including a number of commercial and onsite contracts.

Susan Heseltine

With over 15 years experience in customer service, Elle made the move to property management to further her management skills. Working for a variety of stakeholders over the years, Elle has fine-tuned her ability to deliver whatever the task.

Hannah Van Druten

Client Relationship Manager

Hannah holds a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking and is well versed in the working principles of financial services. In 2016, Hannah became GM Homes Client Relationship Manager. As client service is our top priority, Hannah focuses on building long-term relationships with clients and manages all client interactions.
